Looking forward to seeing more. I spent a little time alone in Japan during a trip I took with my ex (he was there for work, so I spent the days alone), and instantly I was hooked on the solo travel. My first big solo trip was 6 weeks in Europe and Iceland, including a couple of countries where I didn't speak the language. Hooray for Travel Tuesdays! Looking forward to seeing more. By the time I finally went on my biggest solo travel adventure -- 2 weeks in Italy -- I felt pretty prepared. Lots of prep ahead of time with my NBF Rick Steves helped too! If you're seeing multiple places in one blow (or even over time), he suggests starting with the "least hairy" and getting progressively "hairier," which is exactly the formula you've suggested here. It's worked great for me. I think I might be ready now to take on a "hairier" experience next time -- maybe somewhere in Asia..? Gotta work on paying down debt so I can save up for more travel!
