hello world!

I’ve traveled around Europe on my own. I’ve played blackjack with someone else’s money. I’ve jumped out of a plane (and would do it again). But like lots of people, I tend to worry and second-guess myself in ways that make my life smaller than it needs to be. So I’m trying to follow Eleanor Roosevelt’s famous advice, “You must do the thing you think you cannot do,” and see where it takes me.

It’s going to be a fun trip. Won’t you come along?

Professonally: I’ve been a freelance writer for almost 20 years. I write about everything from business and technology to health and travel for all kinds of print and online publications. I’ve also co-authored one book and contributed to several others. You can find details on my professional website.

Personally: I drink a lot of espresso, I take a lot of pictures, and I’d like to travel a lot more than I currently do.
